We're delighted that Always in the Afternoon by Derbyshire-based Cathy Grindrod, which started life as a monologue submitted to our DREAM UP writing competition in 2009, has now been developed into a full stage play by Cathy as part of the Theatre Writing Partnership 'Crossovers' programme. This also means it will receive a rehearsed reading on Friday 29 October as part of their Momentum Festival at CURVE Theatre in Leicester next week, with our Artistic Director, Daniel Buckroyd, helping steer the process.
Daniel has also been involved in Crossovers through 2010 as a mentor to Nottingham-based writer Phil Nodding whose play The Wilderness Kid gets a rehearsed reading as part of Momentum, directed by Giles Croft.
