A foot on the ladder for a new generation of theatre makers in the East Midlands
Here at New Perspectives we know just how hard it can be to kick start a career in theatre and we are committed to providing an range of new professional development opportunities for emerging theatre-makers living and working in the East Midlands. That's why we're launching an exciting new scheme to give aspiring performers, writers, directors, designers, technicians, stage managers, arts managers and marketers the opportunity to bridge the gap between education/ training and work in the industry.
For 2011-2012, we're offering:
STEP UP / Creatives - a training ensemble for emerging theatre-makers aged 18 and over, including industry masterclasses and the chance to create and tour work.
STEP UP / Management & Marketing - Placements and Traineeships giving anyone over 18 an insight into working behind the scenes for a small touring theatre company.
STEP UP / Companies - Support for a new theatre company to develop their artistic and business practices.
DREAM UP / Writers - A script-writing competition for anyone over 14.
