New Perspectives creates and tours original, diverse, high-quality theatre productions across the country. We are one of the few companies touring ubiquitously,  presenting work in village halls, community centres, schools, churches, theatres and arts centres - in villages, towns, cities from world stages to spaces in the heart of communities and online. We champion the East Midlands as a hotbed of theatre talent by developing the artists and communities within it and flying the flag across the wider sector.

While many people know that New Perspectives is the region's leading touring theatre company, not many know that it is also a registered charity (number 1058309). Meeting our costs of creating an innovative programme to engage widespread communities, including those with limited access to the arts, while maintaining free access and low ticket prices, coupled with producing original and exciting work and inspiring emerging region-wide talent is a real challenge for a small company. Our public funding amounts to only 70% of the annual income so we need to raise vital funds to sustain and grow our work.

£10 could provide free access for a young person to experience the arts for the first time
£25 could pay for the development of project resource packs
£75 could provide an emerging artist with session to develop a new creative or business idea
£180 could support a new project for a school and home-school learner or community in an area of disadvantage
£350 could give a community group the chance to take part in day-long creative session led by our professional team
£750 could enable us to stage a professional performance in a rural village hall in the future
£1,500 could provide every rural promoter throughout a 6 week tour, the chance to bring in 6 new audience members each, offering people their first experiences of live theatre in the future
£3,000 could pay for a week's rehearsal and script development of a new production

And remember: as a UK taxpayer, if you Gift Aid your donation this will add a further 25p per £1, which means that by working together we can make an even greater impact. Gift Aid s one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. It is a scheme administered by the Inland revenue which allows us to claim 25p for every £1 that you donate. So, for example, if you donate £52 we can claim an extra £13, making your gift worth £65. You simply need to have paid or will pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax that is at least equal to the tax that New Perspectives and other charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs you donate to will reclaim on your donations in a tax year. Welcome

New Perspectives is the East Midlands’ touring theatre company. Founded in 1973, we champion new writing, under-represented voices and powerful stories, touring world-class theatre into the heart of communities – reaching rural audiences where they live.

We believe that all people, whatever their age, circumstance or identity, have the right to access practice and inspire theatre and that all places can be sites of exciting cultural exchange.
