The worlds of 1968 and 2016 collide when Hannah, aged 18, inherits the papers her mother, Sally, has left in trust for her. Gradually, she unearths the details of Sally's adoption and the story of a 1960's teenage courtship, discovering through it her own history.
Cathy Grindrod cleverly interweaves human themes, attitudes and relationships with the behaviour of the woodland cuckoo. Both exist in the natural environments, explore courtship and posess instinctive acts of survival.
Performances at The Old Library Theatre, Mansfield (Fri 29 July 2016) and Gotham Memorial Hall (Sun 31 July 2016) marked the culmination of a 3 month project working with and performed by emerging artists across the East Midlands. New Perspectives'
Emerging Perspectives programme provides a range of opportunities for emerging theatre makers living and working in the East Midlands, to bridge the gap between training and working in the industry, by helping people early in their theatre careers to become skilled and self supporting artists.
