Max initially trained as a dancer at Rambert School in West London, choreographing pieces performed at Sadlers Wells and the Royal Opera House. He then successfully gained a Masters Degree in Costume Design from London College of Fashion. He then went on to be shortlisted as one of the twelve finalists for the 2017 Linbury Prize for Stage Design and was a recipient of the Royal Opera House bursary 2018. Most recently he has been nominated for 2019 Stage Debut Awards Best Designer for his work on Huddleat the Unicorn Theatre. His work spans through contemporary dance, opera, theatre and performance art.
