Writer : Ritesh Batra (adapted for stage by Jack McNamara)
For every six million tiffin lunchboxes delivered in the hot, bustling city of Mumbai, only one fails to reach its destination...
Ila assembles a tasty tiffin box each day for her husband's lunch. Set on re-igniting their romance, each flavour and layer added is an expression of her love. There's only one problem...it's delivered to the wrong person.
When the bad-tempered and soon to retire accountant, Sajaan, accidentally receives a delicious lunch one day, he returns a note to its anonymous cook. As new boxes arrive each day, and notes are exchanged through them, an unlikely relationship starts to blossom. As both flavours and messages travel back and forth, the two strangers begin to share jokes, passions and fears with each other as food brings their world closer together.
New Perspectives brings one of the highest grossing foreign films in recent years to the stage for the first time as two very different destinies collide in a celebration of love and food and the consequence of an error.
