The company's first production, a devised piece about David Oluwale, a homeless Nigerian man who was killed in British police custody in the 1960s, toured to schools and young audiences. Over the past 50 years, New Perspectives has been through many changes: 3 variations of our name, 3 different home locations and 5 artistic directors have followed in the founders' footsteps. Today, as a leading touring theatre company based in the East Midlands, we continue to make high-quality theatre accessible to people in a wide range of spaces and places. We make new writing accessible to people in a wide range of spaces and places. We remain true to the company’s original focus of sharing exceptional and thought-provoking stories, amplifying underrepresented voices and supporting local talent. Whether you've seen New Perspectives productions, worked with us, or only just discovered us, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and we look forward to our future journey together.
