Laurence James-Davis

actor and educator

Laurence James-Davis is an actor and educator from Nottingham, working across theatre, film and television.

His screen credits include Emmerdale and Coronation Street, and last year performed in the title role in Hamlet at the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall Nottingham, in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Alongside his acting work, Laurence is an experienced acting tutor, delivering training in screen acting and audition technique for emerging performers. His practice is rooted in text, character psychology and ensemble storytelling, with a strong focus on bridging the gap between training and professional practice. He is also a songwriter, with his single Jericho featured in the film Surrender to It.

Laurence is passionate about developing new work and contributing to the creative community in the East Midlands and beyond , with a growing focus on writing and creating original performance.
