creative producer

Keilah Chambers-Turner is a creative producer, focused on creating and supporting arts, cultural, and community projects through creativity, strategy, and joy; she brings extensive project management and events experience, both in and out of the arts sector, allowing a well-rounded bank of experience to draw on. This includes working within theatre participatory programmes, focusing on young people and/or audience development and engagement, as well as being a trustee for oracy-focused children’s theatre company, Speech Bubbles CIO.

Keilah is especially interested in how theatre can be used to connect communities, and develop a sense of belonging, inclusion, and representation within its audiences. Currently working within Participation at Nottingham Playhouseshe has been inspired to further explore ideas around participatory, immersive, and interactive theatre and programmes - work that puts audience and participants at the heart of stories and allows them to feel part of the experience.

I’m very appreciative to be joining the next New Associates cohort, and am so excited for the opportunities to develop my practice, meet other local creatives, and soak up as much knowledge and expertise as possible!
