Community Programme - Open Pitch Open Pitch Projects Lucky Stars - Chris Kealey Chris Kealey is a writer from Leicestershire who has previously worked as a journalist, writing dispatches from Afghanistan, Turkey and the UN for the foreign office, as well as writing for government ministers, princes and politicians. Feeling like there was something creative missing from his life, Chris found New Perspectives and began work on his script, Lucky Stars with dramaturgical support from Participation Director Jayne Williams. Supporting during the R&D process and performing in the sharing are actors Helen Crevel, Esme Sears, Lee Rufford and Conor Wilkinson. There was a sharing of Lucky Stars on Friday 17 January 2025 at Curve Theatre in Leicester. About the play Jo lives an average life, he can gloss a double-door in less than an hour and wallpaper with his eyes closed. But then he wins the lottery. Reve and Sam are happily married, though sometimes Sam seems to be more concerned about his Audi than he is his wife. But then Reve goes into a coma. Moving backwards and forwards in time, Lucky Stars by Chris Kealey is a heartwarming and laugh-out-loud play about the choices we make for the ones we love.
