Community Programme - Open Pitch Memoirs of a Little 'Un - Chrissy Payne "A wonderfully written and very witty glimpse into your formative years. I wish I had met Nobby. I will never look at a lady in a red hat in quite the same way again" Eccentric uncles, wacky finds in sale rooms, ice creams and picnics at the seaside, and Superspuds abound! Memoirs of a Little 'Un is an heart-warming and nostalgic audio adventure recounting childhood in a market town in the 1960s. Written by Chrissy Payne, the series is based on her own memories of growing up as the youngest of seven girls in Oakham, Rutland. As part of the Open Pitch programme, Chrissy has had many hours of support from the New Perspectives Team to develop her work and was paired up with Actor Tanya Myers and Sound Designer Adam P McCready who have used their skills and expertise to bring the words on the page to life in the form of an audio series. Since its release in June, the audio series has been downloaded over 650 times and has been listened to by people in 11 countries. You can listen to Memoirs of a Little 'Un on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Soundcloud now! You can also read about Chrissy's experience of Open Pitch and her thoughts on the audio series on our blog.
